What is connected wellness and the 7 pillars of Seven Turns Wellness

Let’s get Connected.

Have you ever been to a healthcare practitioner and wondered why they ask for health history ranging from mobility to genealogy, to diet, but rarely bring it up again? In most cases, a pain you feel in one area could be connected to another. Whether your itching is caused by liver damage or your body position at your desk is causing hypertension in your legs. Or maybe the citrus you consume each morning as a vitamin ritual is the root of your indigestion.; it’s all connected.

Well, that’s what “Connected health” means to Seven Turns Wellness. Our approach is holistic, as we incorporate the knowledge from our doctorates in Physical Therapy, without the need to order blood work or images. Instead, at Seven Turns Wellness, we believe in looking at the whole body from a movement perspective and all the factors that go into affecting the way you move, work, eat, and simply live your life day to day.

The 7 Pillars of Connected Wellness

Physical Therapy: Helping those in pain and dealing with acute or chronic conditions. We evaluate your whole body and review how all of the parts move together as a whole to find out the “Why” of your pain.

Pilates: Once your body begins to feel good, Pilates can help you maintain the improvements and gains you’ve made while getting strong and more mobile. Not to mention, increase body awareness and true mind, body, connection.

Resistance Training: The pillar to aging well, ensuring adequate muscle development and tone to reduce the risk of injury but to also perform your daily functional movements more efficiently.

Nutrition: Food is not only fuel but medicine. Everything you put in your body can help your body function efficiently, and affect your mood, your energy, and even your mindset.

Sleep: One of the only times that your brain gets the chance to rest. During the time in which incredible hormones are made, your brain is cleansed in a process called “brainwashing”, which can establish your energy throughout the day

Personal growth: The best things in life are hard and uncomfortable. It is when you find yourself out of your comfort zone that you truly begin to understand who you are and what you’re capable of. We provide guidance and have discussions during your movement sessions that push you to your best limits

Lifestyle Changes: Take a look at not only what you eat, how you act, and what you think, but the types of products you use in your kitchen, in the bathroom, and more. This encompasses all of the pillars plus expanding on daily items that might be contributing to your weight gain, moods, and mindset.

This may seem overwhelming at first, but at Seven Turns Wellness we take an individual approach. Your first session is about learning about you to determine where we start. Connected Wellness is the way to live.
